General Site-wide policy of order cancellation, product return and refund


This is a general Site-wide policy of order cancellation, product return and refund policy. Each Seller is free to have its own policies on these matters, and in such cases the policies of Seller will prevail and be applicable for the products of that Seller. If the Seller has not published its own policies, then these General Site-wide polies will be applicable.

Each item of Sculpture, Art and Hand-craft is delicate and unique in its own way. Artists spend many days, sometimes months to complete a single work of art. Also, being handmade, the designers put in best of their efforts in trying to ensure that the goods are as close to the mentioned specifications. However please keep in mind that minor variations are normal and expected, considering the manufacturing and artisanal process. Also, note that there might be variations in the actual color and texture from what is evident in the pictures, due to the technological limitations of electronic display screens and printing processes. Due to inherent unique and fragile nature of products sold on DopeTrunk, we are unable to allow product returns under normal circumstances. Hence, buyers are urged to be certain of their decision before purchasing. In case of an expensive piece, if you wish additional photographs or clarifications regarding such piece, we would be happy to assist you in making your decision by supplying the same. If you're in doubt, please ask for additional images of the product.  

Returns Policy: Please choose your products carefully and ensure they are suitable for your décor, color-scheme, collection or needs. We usually do not provide Refund and/or Exchange. On receiving an intimation within 2 days of delivery of the product, and if the Product is unopened and not used, on determination of exceptional circumstances, as evaluated solely by DopeTrunk on its own objective or subjective criteria, DopeTrunk may approve the request received by it by allowing, in its own judgment and discretion, return/ exchange/ store-credit. Customers must pay& bear the freight to send items back to DopeTrunk/seller. Also note that the refund amount will not include the original freight/courier charge that was paid by the customer at the time of ordering the goods. If such amount was not separately charged, DopeTrunk will deduct the actual amount payable to courier agency, from the amount originally received from customer.

For items that are approved for refund, a re-stocking fee of 20% will be applied to Returned Products. Products must be returned in full original packaging and NOT USED, for the Refund to be approved.

Order Cancellation: Cancellation request from a buyer will not be entertained in case of the order placed during the period of any sale/ discount/ seasonal offer/ special promotion. During any other time, Buyer can raise a cancellation request for the order before its shipping. DopeTrunk would not be able to cater to cancellation request raised after shipping of the product.

Should a Seller become aware of any reason which may cause a delay in delivery of a product, Seller will notify DopeTrunk immediately of such reason and expected delay time. On being so notified, DopeTrunk will attempt to contact the concerned Buyer and/or offer a refund for sale of such product and/or cancel the order with respect to the same.

Damaged Product: Our sellers take great care in the packing of all objects and sculptures. All pieces are properly foam & bubble wrapped, as may be needed and then sent out in cardboard/ wooden boxes with proper packing of filler material in the remaining spaces inside the box, depending on the nature of transportation and the product.

However, there may be times when you receive an item in damaged condition, in which case we will evaluate the evidences and ensure an equitable resolution keeping in mind your interests as well as that of the seller. This may be through repair, exchange, or return of the product. If you notice the carton/ tube/ packing-box to be damaged before opening the same, you MUST make a noting on the courier slip that you sign while accepting the package, and also take a couple of good photographs of externally damaged pack from relevant angles, in sealed condition, before opening the same. These photographs will help us decide the case. Please do not accept a shipment that shows signs of abnormal damage in transit and you suspect, given the nature of the product, that the product must also have been damaged due to the severity of damage to external packing box. You can decline to accept such an order and report us on the same within 24 hours. The quality control team will evaluate and then initiate remedial measures for the same. You MUST inform us about the damaged product as soon as you come to know about it (but not later than 24 hours after delivery of the product) and provide us the photographs by email so that we can understand the nature and extent of damage.

Unsatisfied with Product: In case of delivery happening in the same country from where the ordered product is dispatched, in case you are unhappy with the object as the same is not as per description and your expectations and want us to replace it with another object, you will have to send us an email without delay, explaining the reason for being unsatisfied with the product. If we find merit in the case, we will ask you to send us back the object in its original condition properly bubble-wrapped/packed, so that the piece is not damaged in transit. Ensuring that the product is not damaged during return journey will be the responsibility of the buyer. Once we have received the piece in the same condition as sent, we will release the new piece as per your selection. Only the applicable shipping charges will be charged for sending the replacement. This entire arrangement will not be applicable for the products bought during any sale/ discount/ seasonal offer/ special promotion.

Return in case of international order: We do not accept return requests for products delivered outside the country of dispatch/ origin, owing to customs/ shipping complications in bringing them back.

No return or cancellation for Photographic Prints orders: Photographic prints are not kept in stock, and are produced only upon receiving the order. For this reason, any order of photographic prints, once placed, can’t be cancelled. For the same reason, the requests for return of photographic prints are also not accepted.
